See why real customers love HFS II

Light, Grippier, and Comfier.

Like the original HFS, the HFS II is super lightweight (235 grams, M8) so you’ll feel like you’re flying down the road. And with a new tire tread-inspired outsole, you’ll feel secure even if you go off road.

HFS II is so comfy, you might forget to take them off at the end of your run – we’ve even had people go to bed still wearing their shoes because they forgot they had them on!

We Haven’t Sole-d Out 🙂

The HFS II sole looks thick, but it’s an illusion.
We’ve added a thin BareFoam™ layer for extra protection and wrapped it, cup-like, around the upper giving the HFS II a more familiar-looking profile.

HFS II for everything you do.

Good shoe

I was looking for something to run on roads with & these seem fine. First run was a 5 km time trial. No idea, but they were fine. Very comfortable & giving me a little bit more protection than my five fingers. As others have mentioned the grip isn’t fantastic in the wet f there were a couple of moments when I felt slightly unstable. But not enough for me to send the shoes back. I also have the Genesis sandals were I’ve had for years & love.

First Minimalist Shoes

Went looking for minimalist shoes after reading Kelly Starrett’s Ready To Run in the hope of resolving an ongoing hip pain issue. I wanted shoes designed for running, and that would be a good transition from my normal high stack and heel drop motion control running trainers. I have had the HFS II’s for around two weeks now and have been working through a transition phase to get used to running further in them. Out of the box the shoes strike me as being very minimal, they almost look like a child’s shoe next to my previous trainers, smaller in all dimensions and considerably lighter. Nonetheless they fit perfectly (true to size). The flexibility combined with the low weight mean it barely feels like you are wearing shoes at all. And straight out of the box they are extremely comfortable - no blisters, no rubbing at all. I bought these for running but they have quickly become my go to shoe, in fact, I now dislike wearing almost any other shoe and I didn’t realise how used to discomfort I had become! But it is running where these shoes do truly shine - not that I disliked running before, but now I crave it. Running is simply more fun now and I feel like a child again, like I can run forever. It’s only been just over two weeks, so have only been for half a dozen real runs, and a daily walk, but already I can see and feel that the restrictions identified in Ready to Run are being broken down, foot strength and ankle mobility have improved, the fallen arch in my right foot is being re-built and my walking gait is more symmetrical. The first couple of runs caused some soreness due to using different muscle but now running feels like it causing less damage and fatigue and like I am able to recover quicker. So much so, it has given me the confidence to enter an Ironman next year as I certain that I will be able to run forever longer with these and avoid previous injuries, but time will tell on that front. I can’t speak for the durability of the shoes yet but they certainly feel like a well made product and there’s no signs of wear yet. I have used the shoes mainly on road but also on light trails and wet grass. They are not waterproof but i didn’t expect or need them to be. Aesthetically I think they are pleasing enough, others might think differently but that’s not why o bought them so not a priority to me.

Amazing shoe

This is quite possibly the best shoe I've ever worn! The fit is excellent, the contact with the ground is amazing and the feel is incredible. I've tried many shoes for various types of training over the years and these instantly felt perfect! While this is just my personal opinion, I couldn't recommend them more.

Making a change to barefoot at 66

Astonishing that after years of painful feet that changing to Ibarefoot would be so easy and transformative.Looking forward to upping the mileage and improving performance and testing the durability of the soles.

Nicely made, true to size.

Previous shoe was a pair of running shoes “properly” fitted by a store. They pinched my toes to the point of pain. That is all gone with these, very happy.
